Hello! I’m Kate, the artist, creator, and instructor behind Make With Kate. I live in San Diego, California, with my husband, Aaron, and our beautiful kitty daughter, Edith.
Make With Kate is the ……………. of ………………………, on which I share craft tutorials, business guides, and resources helpful for started and maintaining your creative business. I began making craft tutorials back in 2009 and took my own advice by starting an online shop to sell my handmade products. Over a decade later, I am back to creating tutorials and instructional content.
I have been consumed by nearly every form of crafting since I was a small child. At the age of ……….. I learned how to make ……………….. By age ………… I was sewing …….., ………., and ……… on my mothers sewing machine under her strict instruction to…………. At age nine, I made my first official (presentable) sewing project, a six foot long velvet boa constricter, complete with a festive neck corsage. While I have dabbled in numerous types of crafts of creative outlets, I have always found my way back to where it started, sewing plush animals.
Over the years, I realized that one thing I love more than……….. is helping others find their true passion and how to achieve it. I’ve ………………. and created many craft tutorial and business guides to help encourage and inspire others to create too.
I’ve worked with ………. in in-person workshops, answering their questions and learning how to explain ………….. so that anyone achieve their creative dreams and pursue their own creative business. I believe in the good that having a creative outlet does, both as a hobby and as a form of income. My goal is to encourage to explore many creative outlets and to assist independent creatives in navigating the road to running a successful creative business.

After an unfulfilling number of years working an office job, I began making and selling my crafts online. After two years of offering my products on Etsy and at local craft fairs, I was able to quit my bullshit job and make creating my new fun full time career.
